Versal is the literary & art annual based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It began as one of many projects started under the umbrella of wordsinhere, a non-profit, self-funded community organization founded in 2002. wordsinhere has worked tirelessly from its base in Amsterdam to help build and sustain a translocal literary community and transnational networks through which writers here can develop and continue their writing practices.
