Utrecht has only one international literary podium, and that is wordsinhere's Salon des Mots.

On this stage writers from all over the world get up to perform along the side of local artists and musicians.

Versal 8 comes to Utrecht! This month’s Salon des Mots will feature Versal Editor Megan M. Garr (US) reading from her own work and launching the biggest version of the literary journal to date! Also, Paris Editor for Tin House magazine, Heather Hartley (US) with her new book Knock Knock, beat poet Jeremy Keighley (UK), widely published poet and critic Julian Stannard (UK) and a performance by the music diva, Suzy Dexter (NL) with the emerging young musician, Tobias Segura (NL). In addition to this fantastic line up, the acclaimed choreographer and dancer Lily Kiara (NL), will be performing short dance pieces created exclusively for this show. Presented by Anna Arov (Ruc/Can), as always.

 

Want to be on-stage?

We're looking for poets, writers, storytellers, spoken word artists and performers, etc, etc.

Amateur and professional — as long as you can get it off the page.
