The performance night of wordsinhere
has found a space to hold its monthly gathering! Starting Friday,
20 December, The Open Stanza will be held one Friday
a month at Volta, a center for young people in the Westerpark neighborhood.
Tucked inconspicuously behind the Haarlemmerport, Volta is ideal
for this literary evening dedicated to linking artist and audience
through the word on stage. Put the 20th of December in your calendars
- we'll see you there!
Just thought we'd remind you that the deadline
for submission to the first issue of versal is
coming up - 14 October. We're looking for writing that breaks a
few barriers, that accesses something new, that is involved and
unexpected. See our submission
guidelines online for further details. You can submit electronically

We’re looking for writers with urgent voices for The
Open Stanza. We are always accepting submissions, but if
you want to try for the debut night - 20 December - send up to 5
poems or 1000 word sample of your prose by 1 December, 2002. Send
to openstanza@wordsinhere.com
or by post Van Hogendorpstraat 123-I, 1051 BL Amsterdam. Submissions
by post should include a SASE or an email address for reply.
