NEWS
November might have been maddening, but it was a lot of fun. Both Geneva and Berlin were successful trips. We're slowly collecting pictures of these and other wordsinhere (literal or figurative) journeys, which we will throw online for the world to analyze.
Robert, Cralan, and I will head to Zagreb, Croatia next Tuesday to take part in an exhibition sponsored by the US Embassy. We are giving a reading on Wednesday at the Profil bookstore. If you're in the area and want to attend, email info@wordsinhere.com for more information.
This month also brings writer Sandy Florian in our midst. Visiting us from the University of Denver, one of the best writing programs in the world, Sandy will be giving a workshop on Wednesday in what is known as "collaborative writing"—a great opportunity for fiction and poetry writers alike. You can find more information about this here. The next day, of course, is The Open Stanza, where Sandy will be our special guest. It's going to be a fantastic show. We hope to see you all there.

You'll find work by both Megan and Cralan in the debut issue of Bordercrossing Berlin, which came out last weekend.
And we've just had word from Versal's contributing editor in Uruguay, Laura Chalar, that her book of short stories has been taken by a publisher and will be released next Spring.
And oft-seen, oft-read Claudia Daventry has had a host of successes these last few months. She won 3rd prize in the Ledbury Poetry prize (www.poetry-festival.com) and 4th prize in the Arvon Foundation contest (www.arvonfoundation.org). She has won other commendations but we've completely lost track of them all, there have been so many! But suffice it to say that she's coming up in the world, folks! Congrats, Claudia!
CALLS FOR WRITERS

This is a great chance to dig your hands into your work and meet face-to-face with the writer who first intrigued us in 2004. 30 euros for this 4 hour workshop, includes dinner and drinks.
