The Open Stanza crew has increased the number of pre-selected performers from the usual four to an astounding six. The line up includes published authors, hosts for international slam competitions, a poetry consultant for the Broadway show “Def Poetry Jam” and a group of spoken word artists on-tour through Europe.
Don't miss the chance to experience this bonanza of incredible talents, featuring: Kate Foley (UK), Wehwalt Koslovsky (Germany), Ben Porter Lewis (Vietnam/USA), Milo Martin (USA), Yohannes Sharif (USA) and Aqiyl Thomas (USA). DJ Bruised Fingers (France) will set the mood for the night along with our favorite singer/songwriter Rina Mushonga (Zimbabwe) and her full band. More...

NEWS
In November, wordsinhere Curator Jane Monk moved back to her mother country England, leaving that much less laughter to those of us here.
This month, Curator Melissa N. Warren will also head off, stopping briefly in Nashville before she returns to Guatemala to continue learning Spanish. They will both be missed.
What does it take to be a Curator? It's not about a good CV. It's about wanting to create more and better spaces for the literary among us. Email beINvolved@wordsinhere.com to find out more.

DECEMBER EVENTS WE'RE GOING TO ATTEND
Wednesday 8 December, 8pm
Amstelkerk, Amsterdam
Rodney Bolt's History Play: The Lives and After-life of Christopher Marlowe (HarperCollins, July 2004) is a gloriously playful retake of the biographies of Shakespeare and Marlowe. Shakespeare's works are unassailable, and will survive any amount of subversion, but by playing with our commonplace history, Rodney Bolt argues that the quasi-religious idol the man has become is perhaps in need of the efforts of a wicked woodworm. Entrance: €10. More info: www.britlit.info. •
Thursday 9 December, 9pm
Volta, Amsterdam
This will be a year-end all-star cast of poets from around the world, published and slam, metered and beat. You will not want to miss this. Entrance: €5. More info... •
