Mezrab: Amsterdam's New Hangout

Our favorite bard, Sahand Sahebdivani, and his father have recently opened Cultural Center Mezrab in the Jordaan. Informed by modern Iranian culture, Mezrab has an atmosphere of poetry and song perfect for visitors wishing to read the letters of Van Gogh or start chapter three of their novel. Alongside the daily mix of tea and coffee, Mezrab is host to film nights and workshops on calligraphy and fiction writing (wordsinhere Curator Cindy David's Pure Fiction). From the start, Mezrab has committed to supporting culture in Amsterdam — join us in helping it thrive.

Cultural Center Mezrab
Tweede Lauriersdwarsstraat 50

When you're there, be sure to ask how Iranians take their tea. It's fascinating — and incredibly sweet.
